As the Living In Place Institute Idea Home will be a very tight home, the three Panasonic WhisperComfort® Energy Recovery Ventilators (ERVs) balance the interior air pressure by supplying fresh exterior air while exhausting stale interior air.
These are very quiet units that are EnergyStar rated and work with Swidget sensor to allow them to turn on either at predetermined time intervals, or when the sensor detects high particulate, humidity, or carbon dioxide levels in the home.
The bathrooms and laundry room all have Panasonic WhisperGreen® ventilation fans that are also tied to Swidget humidity sensors. The ventilation fans can be set to three different flow volumes and are also some of the quietest units on the market.
