Homebuilders are primed to unlock a vast market of customers and their families who deal with physical and cognitive disabilities, and The Living In Place Institute TM, the leader in education concerning home accessibility, health, and safety, will be carrying that message to Design + Construction Week in Las Vegas, Jan. 31 to Feb. 2.
In addition to a booth in the Kitchen & Bath Industry Show West Hall location, the Living In Place Institute will hold a special gathering for its certified builders, vendors, and all other professionals Wednesday at 3:30 p.m., in Room W327—a chance to meet colleagues who are already using its certifications to attract new customers.
“There is no better venue for builders, their suppliers, and supporting professions than Design + Construction Week,” says Louie Delaware, President and Founder of the Living in Place Institute.
The Living In Place Institute is celebrating its tenth anniversary this year, and Delaware adds that adopters of Living In Place accreditations will also be represented as presenters, leaders in professional associations, and subject matter experts.
“We’re seeing the formation of a global design, construction, and accessibility provider community that has embraced the Living In Place Institute, by becoming Certified Living In Place Professional credentialed,” says Dani Polidor, Living in Place Institute’s Vice President for Sales & Marketing.
“These CLIPP professionals are leaders in their fields in making all newly built and remodeled environments inclusive and barrier-free,” Polidor notes.
Visitors to the Living In Place Institute booth can learn about opportunities to create Living In Place Institute Model Homes, by way of its standards and education programs. Information is available on requirements for having a new home or community certified by the Living In Place Institute; gaining the Institute’s accreditation for a safety or convenience-oriented building material or product; and registering for a 16-hour online course that leads to accreditation as Certified Living In Place Professional.
Living In Place Institute certified product suppliers participating in this year’s IBS Show include TOTO Toilets, Rev-A-Shelf Storage and Organization Systems, Brizo Kitchen & Bath Faucets, and Hardware, Signature Kitchen Suites, LG Appliances, QuickDrain Curbless Shower Pans and Linear Drains, Seachrome Bath Hardware; Tresco Lighting Systems, and many others.
